Famous Person Business Card (Ron Rivera)

Ron Rivera is the current head coach of the Carolina Panthers. He was born in 1962 in California. He started playing football himself early in his life. After high school he was rewarded with a scholarship to California University. He was an All-American Linebacker for California and currently still has the schools record for tackles for a loss which he achieved in 1983.
In 1984, Ron Rivera was drafted in the second round (44th overall) by the Chicago Bears. What was really important about this was that he was the first Mexican/Puerto Rican to ever play in the NFL. A year later he played in the Super Bowl when the Bears beat the Patriots 46-10. He went on to play 8 seasons for the Bears before retiring in 1992.
After a couple years of being a TV broadcaster, he recieved a job as the Linebackers Coach for the Philidelphia Eagles. After 5 years with the Eagles, he was named the Defensive Coordinator for his former team, the Chicago Bears. After not having a lot of sucess with the Bears, he was hired as Linebackers Coach again, but this time with the San Diego Chargers. 2 years later, he was promoted to Defensive Coordinator for the Chargers. Finally in 2011 he was named the Head Coach of the Carolina Panthers, becoming only the third latino Head Coach in NFL history.
